100 Percent Chance of Rain — A Mother & Son Story

I’m so excited to share one of the most meaningful projects of my music career: “100 Percent Chance of Rain,” an original song created alongside my son, Connor Parish.

What began as an idea grew into a deeply emotional country song about realizing that sometimes walking away is the beginning of finding yourself again. Using an approaching storm and a wedding day as its backdrop, the song tells the story of a bride who recognizes that some promises aren’t meant to be kept—and that there can be light waiting on the other side of the rain.

Creating this song with Connor has made the journey even more special. From writing and arranging to producing and bringing incredible musicians together in the studio, this has truly been a mother-and-son collaboration from the heart.
